As Gunner is now over 24 months of age, we are actively pursuing his official Great Dane breed-specific health certifications through the Orthopedic Foundation for Animals (OFA). Our commitment includes scheduling and completing: * OFA Hips and Elbows (evaluating for dysplasia) * OFA Cardiac (echocardiogram by a board-certified cardiologist to screen for Dilated Cardiomyopathy - DCM) * OFA Thyroid * OFA Eyes (CAER exam by a board-certified ophthalmologist) * Additionally, we plan to have Gunner himself DNA tested to further complement the extensive genetic testing in his lineage and provide the most complete individual health picture.
