Dave is very laid back, when he is not playing outside with our other dogs then he is either laying down on the couch or in his dog bed. Dave is great with older kids (just because he is small, younger kids are sometimes to rough with him). He sleeps in his bed everynight. We bought him from a breeder and has had him ever since.
