About Banjo

Banjo is a sweet goofy boy who loves car rides and never has met a stranger. While he is a large boy, he is gentle and might lick you to death if you let him. He is well mannered and housebroken, walks on a leash and knows basic commands. He will happily lay around and snooze in a comfy couch all day or will join you on a romp in the park or a hike in the mountains. Banjo does not is aggressive to other male dogs. He is fine with most female dogs but he would be best in an active home as an only dog and loving companion. We have never seen him with a cat.

Coonhound

Dice was a foster fail. She is really a great dog and has come a long way. She came from a home she was badly abused in and takes awhile to warm up to new people. We have kids of all different ages and she is sweet with all of them. She took longer to warm up to my husband probably due to her previous home. She is also good with cats and other dogs. Just recently she started to become aggressive with our one small dog. We have tried everything with her and it doesn’t seem to help. We have another dog that she doesn’t bother at all so it seems to be specific to her. She would do well with cats but at this point it would be better if she was the only dog or the smaller of the dogs possibly.

American PitBull Terrier

I had cats and he was raised around them from puppyhood, he knows lots of tricks such as roll over, spin and say please. I muzzle trained him as a puppy (for no specific reason, i think all dogs should have muzzle training) and he is crate trained as well. He is HIGHLY allergic to chicken, there cannot be chicken in his diet at all or he will break out in the worst biggest, hives you’ve ever seen, but he has taken dog benadryl before and it fixes him right up. He will not take a pill in treats or any way other than putting it in his throat and massaging it down. He is a very good, sweet boy, we currently live with my uncle who has another dog, an intact male great dane and he loves playing with him. My fiancé and I do not have children so we aren’t sure how he would be around them, however he is very strong. Leo has been exposed to grooming, nail clippers and nail grinders his whole life with zero issue and loves having his teeth brushed. His favorite toy in the world is squeaky tennis balls and playing fetch but he sucks at bringing it back. His favorite treats are anything like real meaty bones, jerky, bacon or cheese flavored especially the cheese spray for kongs, he loves that. He just got his shots so he is up to date on pretty much everything.
