About Baloo
Baloo is a sweet and handsome red shar pei whom I have been fostering. He needs a new home as I cannot keep him long term; I have other dogs and cannot afford to keep sweet Baloo. He has a history of immunizations - however, I have no access to records. He has not been neutered. I am willing to release Baloo for free to the right person - someone who has a yard and would give him a loving home. Baloo is potty trained but is not leash trained. He is a smart boy but very timid; he requires a gentle and patient person who is willing to give him time to warm up. He has been around my grands who are 11 and 8; he does very well- he is just timid. He tends to be submissive with other dogs. He has never been around cats so I can’t say how he would behave but in general Shar Peis do not do well with cats or other same gender dogs. My dogs are females and he is very good with them - submissive and sweet.

Duke
Anatolian Shepherd
Duke has been my best-friend since the day I adopted him. This was a very hard decision I have to make to re-home him, still is, and probably will always stick with me. I have never re-homed a animal and never thought I’d be in the position where I had to. He is truly a sweet heart, he is the best cuddle buddy and loves his naps. He also loves his peanut butter kongs. Duke is a rescue, and like all of us he definitely has his quirks. He is reactive to strangers and other dogs/animals. He DOES have a bite on his record from before I adopted him. Under my care, he has no bites as I have done a fair job at taking the time to understand him and handle him properly. He does get along with other dogs, but he is leash reactive to them. Currently I feel that I cannot provide what he needs anymore, I am hoping to find an adopter who can love him as much as I do, while being able to provide him what he needs which I no longer can. He is a smart dog and picks up training quick. He knows all of his commands and is crate trained. My only requirements for an adopter would be listed below - 1. Love him and care for him endlessly 2. Keep my contact information handy, as if you decide he is not the right fit for you - I will take him back and try again. 3. Allow me to visit once in a while. Not alot just a few times a year. I would also like to be completely transparent so Duke can find the right adopter for him. He is a bit of a challenge, but once you get over that hump of trust it is the most rewarding thing. He is the most loveable and sweetest dog I have ever came across, and thats truly unbiased. I suggest an experienced adopter for Duke, someone who understands reactivity and fear aggression. Someone who has the means to make sure he has a good amount of stimulation, and possibly hire a behavioural trainer so he can proceed in his training. I will send the adopter home with a 40 pound bag of dog food, his toy and crate along with his flea, tick and heart worm medication.
